It may just be a quick rant, but Jaina definitely hits on something I think about from time to time in a recent post. I don’t fancy myself a huge influencer, but I’m aware that I have a bit of pull in the email design and marketing industry. I think about that every time I write and publish, attend a conference, take part in discussions, or run workshops. There’s a responsibility there, one that a lot in the industry don’t take seriously.
The email industry is rife with misinformation. It’s partly a symptom of a fast-moving industry (especially when it comes to design) but it’s also partly due to laziness. I think things are improving, but there’s still work to be done.
