Note to Self: Use HTML, Not Emojis
Just posting this for my future, stupid self…
I ran into an issue in Eloqua where, if there was more than one emoji used in the body of an email, it would strip out any emojis after the first one. Just literally yank them out of the HTML and not display them.
The solution was to just use the HTML entity version of the emoji, assuming it exists. So, for 😂, you would use
😂 instead. I spent way to much time copying and pasting from different sources trying to get around it. I should’ve known to use the code from the outset. Even us experienced folks are dummies from time-to-time.
